Small spaces are very often a blessing to work with because you can add so much in the way of ambience and not break the budget. Yes, adding hardscape items like walls, water features and concrete are the bigger ticket items, but because the space is small you’ll be dealing with a limited amount of materials…which means that your water feature will not be overly large, nor the walls or the concrete. Before this yard was designed, a table with some chairs and other items seemed to be stuffed in, and the space was not inviting. By creating sitting walls and a wall-type water feature it opened the space up…even though those items took up some of the space! The planting is minimal. Landscape lighting sets the tone in the evening and night, and now the outdoor space has become a part of the overall living space.
